What'sNew

“Bonsai Basics for the Desert” is a 2-session class for beginners, offered FREE except for cost of nursery plants.  Sessions will follow our regular program/workshop meeting on Sunday, March 18 and April 25 at 2:00 p.m.

Registration can be done at the Civano Nursery Bonsai Day event on March 10, or email to David Meyer at d.meyer11@yahoo.com, or leave message at 749-3777.

Classes will be taught by certified bonsai instructors and assistants, featuring “hands on” training of nursery plants by students.  Emphasis will be placed on the horticultural care of plants, creating the design and style, pruning, wiring, potting mixes, and related subjects.

Advance registration is required for study kit materials prior to class.  If you attend the Civano event, you will be assisted in choosing a nursery plant for the class, one week later.

All sessions of the classes and our regular meetings are now held at the Catalina United Methodist Church, 2700 E. Speedway, in Building H, Room H230.  Turn in on Treat Avenue, park in lot on your left.  Our meeting rooms are a short flight of steps as you enter the complex, or a ramp is available; just follow the signs.
